Glowing Remnants

Making images in the fall is my favorite time of year. Yes the colors are pretty, but it's also cooling off. I had enough of sweating in churches during prime wedding season May through September and loved shooting fall weddings. The day I made this image was somewhat cloudy, with breaks for the sun to shine through as in this image. The last remains of the some red and yellow dotted leaves intermixed with dark and light colored tones reminded me of the glowing embers of a fire dying down. Autumn was winding down in the Daniel Boone National Forest in late November of 2017.
